parent block: background type

You will be able to select from 3 background types:

1. Color
2. Image
3. Video

1. You can select the background color with our color picking tool, or include a valid color such as hex and rgb

2. Selecting the 'Use background image' will show you an input field which will allow you to upload an image as a background,
try reducing and compressing the size of the image, as large images often are the reason why webpages are loading slow.
You can specify the x and y position of the image, by either setting this to left, center or right (for x axis) and top, center or bottom (for y axis).

3. You can use Youtube or Vimeo videos to be displayed in the background of your block

* Both image and video background can have a nice true parallax applied to them, even the parallax speed and direction can be modified by changing the 'Parallax speed' option, including a value between -1.0 and 2.0.

parent block: Use border

Optionally you can apply a border to your parent block, which comes along with its settings, border width, color and style (solid, dashed, dotted and double).

* Borders can be set individually, setting different values for each site of the parent block (top, right, bottom, left).

parent block: Border radius

The corners of your parent block can be more rounded by applying border radius to them,
the value is in pixels, the higher the value the rounder the corner.

* If no roundness is required, the value needs to be set to '0'.

parent block: Block width

You can specify the width of your parent block by including a pixel value which will be the maximum width the parent block can have,
the inner content will stretch up to this width minus the horizontal padding set.

Whenever the 'Set parent to full width' has been selected, you get the option of specifying the width of the inner content wrap,
this width will decide the inner max width the child blocks will stretch to.

parent block: Paddings

You can both specify horizontal and vertical padding, a value set in pixels.
This represents the spacing between the outer edges of the block and its inner content.
The horizontal padding represents the spacing between the left/right edge and the inner content,
the vertical padding represents the spacing between the top/bottom edge and the inner content.

Child block: Hide on 'device'

You can choose wether to hide the child block on:

1. 'desktop' - large screens
2. 'tablet' - medium screens
3. 'phone' - small screens

Child block: Background

Make sure to grab the Youtube or Vimeo link from the address bar in your browser.

Child block: Border

Child block: Width ratio

Specify the width of your child block.

The child blocks use a grid of 12, so you can set 12 different widths for your child blocks.
Whenever 1/12 is selected the child block will take up the width of 1 twelfth (smallest possible size),
whenever 6/12 is selected the child block will take up the width of 6 twelfth (making it half the width),
whenever 12/12 is selected the child block will take up the width of 12 twelfth (making it full width).

The total width will always sum up to 12.

You can create a very large number of combinations with these options.

Child block: Paddings

​You can both specify horizontal and vertical padding, a value set in pixels.
This represents the spacing between the outer edges of the block and its inner content.
The horizontal padding represents the spacing between the left/right edge and the inner content,
the vertical padding represents the spacing between the top/bottom edge and the inner content.

Child block: Link

Child blocks can be full block links.
Avoid using inner content containing links.

Paste in the link you can grab from the address bar and specify if it needs to be opened in a new window,
​or if it can be opened in the same window.

Child block: Add block

Simply click the green '+' button and a new block will be appended to your child blocks (at the end).
You can always move around blocks with the centered drag handle:

Child block: Remove block

Blocks can be removed by clicking the upper right 'x' icon,
remember that this action is permanent and removed blocks and its content added inside of the Weebly editor can not be retrieved.

In case a block has been removed unwillingly, you can try exiting the dashboard without saving and the block should remain as before in your editor, this is if the previous done work in the same session can be more easily reproduced afterwards instead of retrieving this block.
